IN SHORT

As Director of Fundación Banorte, Friné Salguero works to address Mexico’s economic gender gap through education and the economic empowerment of women. Driven by a strong desire to not let segmentation and conventional gender roles hold any woman or community back, her goal is to see corporate philanthropy really commit to social change. She hopes to ultimately contribute to public policy change in the country. “What I want is to help create structures for social change and social strategies for things to happen,” Friné explains. “I want to give people a better quality of life. And I will not stop trying.”

The most beautiful thing is to learn from everybody, from the good and bad, the ones who want to help you and the ones who do not.
