Erstwhile academic, once youngest ever political appointee, and avid traveller, Paul Chi-yuen Chan is a man that marches to the beat of his own drum. Pursuing his passions, Paul co-founded Walk in Hong Kong in 2013, affording locals and foreigners alike the chance to explore the culture, history and heritage of Hong Kong and to come closer to understanding the intricate dynamics of its society. “I wanted to see change in tourism, a new approach to how we present our home city, to how we can discover the charm of our home city,” Paul says. “We can’t rely on others for that, we need to do it ourselves.”
