Despite the adversities she’s had along the way, Alicia Navarro calls herself a lucky, optimistic and positive woman. She would love to see the word impossible all but abolished, as well as people working more actively and consistently for their communities, leaving aside their self-importance. At the Instituto Nuevo Amanecer, she tries to offer solutions to inequality and injustice—after all, when you take away the suffering, you make room for joy.
