IN SHORT
Moved by the plight of sick children and inspired by the work of Mother Teresa, Fernando Landeros founded Teletón Mexico in 1997. Since then, his work has helped transform the lives of thousands of children affected by physical and mental disabilities across Mexico. Yet despite his accomplishments, he steadfastly centers the foundation’s success on faith, love, and an openness to feeling. “I believe one lives when one loves; and you love when what you do gives you goosebumps,” Fernando explains. “I am lucky. What gave me goosebumps at eighteen, still does today.”
