Those Who Inspire Ghana – Inspire Tour GH
Launched on 7th of February 2020, Those Who Inspire Ghana is our 10th book of Those Who Inspire book collection and global movement of inspiration.
Since publication we have worked with our partners and the office of the President to donate Those Who Inspire Ghana books to as many young Ghanaians as possible all-around Ghana.
Last November with Jake Bediako and his amazing team from the Office of the President of Ghana, we organized an Inspire Tour GH (@InspireTourGh). 7 Inspiring Days (ID) in 7 public universities around Ghana. During 3 weeks, we donated thousands of books to students, thousands of youth were inspired and were lucky to meet face-to-face with some Inspiring People portrayed in the book.
At Those Who Inspire, we believe we need to transmit experiences, knowledge, wisdom and real life stories to the youth via the Inspiring Days for them to:
- RELEASE their full potential
- PURSUE their dreams and passions
- CONTRIBUTE more to their country & people
- LEARN from their fellow citizens
- FIND MENTORS from their own country
- REALISE they can be anything they want to be
- COME TO SEE that everything is possible
- BE PROUD of their achievements and country
- NOT BE AFRAID to fail
The first Inspiring Day took place at Ho Technical University (HTU), in the Volta Region.
We donated free of charge books to students thanks to Those Who Inspire Movement’s Partners in Ghana.
Thanks to the collaboration with the teachers, the books donated will circulate among all students to make sure all of them will get to read the portraits, get inspired and find a mentor.
The Inspire Tour GH continued and the second Inspiring Day took place in the Easter Region at Koforidua Technical University.
The third Inspiring Day was organised at KNUST in Kumasi Region. Two of the Inspiring People portrayed in the book, Samuel and Emmanuel Appiah, joined us and exchanged with the students about being a student, starting your career and having a mentor who can inspire you.
Takoradi Technical University is the fourth Ghanaian university where we organised an Inspiring Day together with Inspire Tour GH team.
Tamale was the next stop of the tour and Those Who Inspire Ghana books were donated to students at the University for Development Studies. Check out the video of the fifth Inspiring Day of the tour here.
Last stop of the Inspire Tour GH was at the University of Cape Coast; quizzes were organised, students shared with the audience and books were donated. “Whatever dream you have, as long as you put your mind to it, you set your goals and aspirations towards it, you are going to achieve it,” one student shared with us.
Inspiring Days in Ghana are aimed to inspire the local youth and offer them the opportunity to connect with mentors. Follow us on our social media and check out the best moments of the Inspire Tour GH.
