Marie-Joséphine Sidibé – a native of Abengourou and the daughter of the late King of Indenie, Nanan Bonzou II – has been at the helm of the Société Multinationale de Bitumes (SMB), the country's second largest refinery, since 2021. She is one of the few Ivorian women to hold a position with such a level of responsibility – a strong, hard-working, and dynamic woman who believes in being humble and sharing her values and knowhow with her peers.
