Ahmed Adamu never imagined he would become the first Chairperson of the Commonwealth Youth Council, an organization representing 1.2 billion people in fifty-three countries across the world. However, this position is a natural progression of his passion to engage with the community around him, starting with student leadership at the university level, then progressing to establishing his own NGO, League for Democratic Youth, designed to encourage democratic thinking among young people. “Be absolutely engaged in whatever you believe in; don’t just do it halfway. Do it with full strength and commitment.”
