Her French-inspired training allowed Alexandra Schjelderup to approach culture from a rational, humanistic point of view. She explains that nothing human is alien to her. As a public official serving in the mayor’s office of Panama, Alexandra has worked hard to strengthen cultural policy in the city. Now, she strives to have her example adopted in other parts of the country, hopefully culminating in the creation of a Ministry of Culture.
