Inventor, entrepreneur, mother and PhD candidate, Amina Al Hawaj creates medical devices to improve physiotherapy for patients. “People say I’m the first female inventor in Bahrain, but I certainly don’t want to be the only one,” she explains. “I want to inspire people to do more. Innovation has become a buzzword. Any workshop you go to, you hear ‘innovation,’ ‘women,’ ‘innovation.’ But we are really just doing what is necessary.”
