With a passion for finance, Hafou Touré-Samb left for New York at the age of 16 to learn English and get her university degree. She worked at Moody's, UBS, Deloitte NY, before launching several philanthropic projects in Africa. Hafou earned a Wharton MBA and a Harvard MPA but knew there was a wealth of opportunity in her native Côte d’Ivoire, so she returned to found HTS Partners, a financial consultancy firm specialising in helping African SMEs.
