Dr Jamil Zogheib is a paediatrician, author, founder of the Lebanese ALS Association, and genuinely sanguine lover of life. Living with ALS—a rare neurodegenerative disorder that makes him unable to move any muscles except his eyes—he continues to help others and spread his message of optimism and self-acceptance. “I refuse to give up,” he says. “My life is an adventure and I’ve decided to fill it with faith in God, giving, love and happiness.”
