Teni Agana worked as a kayayoo to put herself through school despite numerous setbacks, ultimately earning a scholarship to Ashesi University where she went from almost failing out to graduating with the highest honour: The Presidential Award. She hopes to one day be a Member of Parliament and continue her activism for kayayei. “I always remember that it doesn’t matter where I am right now. Where I want to be, I can get there – no matter what.”
