Those Who Inspire Panama – Launching our second book on the American continent
A country defined by a brushstroke of creation, a sustained sigh of mother nature, a place of both stillness and movement, of diverse customs and tastes, of a maturing identity, of an explosion of creativity in search of a renewed identity.
This is Panama, the country where we have launched our latest book, Those Who Inspire Panama. After one year of meeting inspiring Panamanian women and men from all walks of life and listening to their trailblazing stories, on the 25th of July the latest and ninth book of our book collection, Those Who Inspire Panama, was launched in Panama City.
The book launch event was a celebration of Panama: 48 Inspiring Panamanians portrayed in the book, our partners from Those Who Inspire Movement, university students and all the people and institutions that have contributed to Those Who Inspire Panama, such as the Ministry of Education. Professor Guillermo Alegría, General Director of Education, attended the book launch and the grand event was held at Capital Bank auditorium.
“I just spent around eleven months working on Those Who Inspire Panama, and I am amazed at how many Inspiring Panamanians I’ve met are dedicated to inspire, empower and guide their youth through sharing experiences,” says Alejandro Andrés, Co-Publisher and Director of TWI Panama.
The book Those Who Inspire Panamais a collection of stories of inspirational achievers and brilliant minds, from all walks of life, which managed to turn moments of crisis and weakness into catalysts for self-realisation. Each of these stories teaches us that through determination, perseverance and inspiration, all goals can be achieved; individually and collectively.
Most of the Inspiring Panamanians portrayed in Those Who Inspire Panamawere present at the event. They shared live some of their stories and anecdotes. Discover real life experiences of Panamanians such as Moisés Cohen, Vicky Alemán de Cordero or Elisa De La Guardia De Lewis here.
Hundreds of copies of the book Those Who Inspire Panama were donated for free, thanks to our donors and partners, to public universities’ students; Those Who Inspire Panama books were donated to UNIVERSIDAD DE PANAMÁ and brought to COLUMBUS UNIVERSITY.
