Through his eagerness to excel, experience life and to be a part of something big, Abdul Rahman Ameen Al Shorafa was present at the dawn of the UAE and did his part to help shape the young nation. While his career is indeed a historic one, his example of education and service are perhaps most important for the next generations of Emiratis. Above all, he urges Emirati youth to have courage in their convictions and strive to make a difference – for themselves and for their country. “I was always fearless and adventurous,” Al Shorafa says, looking back. “I always wanted to at least try, to always challenge myself to do better.”
