Having learned relatively early in life that she must follow her passions, Maytha Al Habsi has created a dream job for herself. As one of the original developers of the Emirates Foundation, she is now Chief Programmes Officer. It is a position that allows her to engage with society and at the same time have a positive impact in new and creative ways. Having helped launch the successful Takatof volunteering programme, she now heads other programmes such as the National Emergency Response Volunteer Programme, which prepares regular civilians for crisis management. “This country has enabled me to pursue my passion, so I continuously feel that there is a part of me that wants to give back. I am so thankful to work in a position where I can do that.”
