Sharjah Ladies Club was established in 1982 as a simple way for women and children to join together in activities and sports in a safe environment. Since then, it has grown into an important pillar in the community. As Director of SLC, Khawla Al Serkal has leveraged her creative capacities and fresh leadership style to strengthen the Club’s business and outreach, and to empower females in the UAE to achieve their true potential. “Women should not feel that after they get married they have to stay home. Work and family can be easily balanced if you organize your time. It’s important to always nurture yourself with something new.”
