A remarkably able person, Anson Chan has taken the core family values she grew up with and used them as tools to excel in life. More than once, she was discouraged from trying, and each time she rose to the challenge and accomplished her goal – all while juggling her roles as mother, wife, and eventually, Chief Secretary. It was a powerful position, and Anson made the most of it, seeing power as a tool to do right by the people of Hong Kong. “Every day brings new challenges, new things, teaches you something.
