Daniela Michel founded the Morelia International Film Festival in 2003. What started as the Mexican Short Film Sessions in the National Film Archive has turned into an internationally acclaimed event. What hasn’t changed however is her love for art, film, culture – and appreciation for Mexico’s beauty and artistic energy. Daniela hasn’t forgotten her roots; on the contrary, she is celebrating them every day. “I have always felt an unconditional love for this country, its warmth and its extraordinary cultural richness.”
