Dr Mussaad M. Al-Razouki has been hailed as a thought leader in the Middle East for his work on the investment side of the life sciences industry, which he sees as a natural extension of his training as a surgeon. “What I try to push myself on is this concept of the Renaissance man or the polymath—we have a great deal of these scholars like this in our history as Arabs,” he says of his unconventional education and career path. “But at its core, it’s about bringing in new innovations and new technology in healthcare—and ultimately making an impact on society.”
