An internationally respected International Relations scholar, Dr. Simon Shen is a trailblazer who is employing diverse means to popularise his field and bring interdisciplinarianism to Hong Kong’s universities. A prolific writer, journal contributor and consultant, he’s involved in numerous projects, including the Social Science Mentorship Programme of Hong Kong’s Institute of Education. “I want to try out different things within the scope of international relations,” he says, “and I want to contribute towards a society that fosters diversity and where difference of opinion does not stand in the way of harmonious coexistence.”
