Fodé Mansaré was born in Conakry but grew up in Koléa, in a family with eight children. Not so interested in letters, he devoted himself to his passion – football. With the support of an expatriate couple, Fodé was sent to Corsica in 1997 where he joined the local training centre, marking the beginning of his life as a footballer. After a successful international career, he returned to Guinea in 2014 and is now involved in community work.
