Inspired and supported by his wife and children, former strategy and marketing executive Francis Ngai gave up his corporate career to pursue his dream of making the world a better place. Through Social Ventures Hong Kong, the venture philanthropic organisation he founded in 2007, he helps encourage social entrepreneurship in Hong Kong. “Apathy and hopelessness are the worst,” he says. “We need to keep our hopes alive and be passionate. We need to chase our dreams, get out there and get things done by ourselves,” he elaborates. “That’s the key to social innovation. That’s the key to happiness.”
