After spending eight years in the corporate sector, Khalid Shafar finally gained enough confidence to leave it all behind and focus on his one true passion: design. In almost no time, his locally born design brand, KHALID SHAFAR, has made a global name for itself – and has focused international attention on the UAE’s growing prominence in the design world. “I believe this country needs more local voices and talented professionals who can export their work. We already import a lot of things, but how about exporting? That must be our goal from here on out.”
