Acclaimed composer and conductor Major General Dr Mubarak Najem is arguably something of a national treasure. From his first self-made oud to founding the Bahrain Music Institute, Mubarak lives and breathes music and is all about doing his part to ensure Bahraini talent shines. “Bahrain has given me everything. Now I want to give to Bahrain,” he says. “I really want to do the best for my country and my people.”
