Stephen Appiah defied the odds, climbing out of poverty to achieve his dreams of playing professional football. And while he’d go on to become one of Ghana’s best footballers, he believes Ghanaians appreciate him most for his charity work and community support. His advice to the youth of Ghana is simple yet deeply valuable: “We made it because we were disciplined and focused – that’s the most important thing.”
