IN SHORT
Activist and women’s rights champion Zoya Rouhana is a founding member and director of KAFA (Enough) Violence and Exploitation, which supports survivors of gender-based violence and campaigns for legal reform. Her work has been instrumental in criminalising violence against women in Lebanon. “That’s my cause in life,” Zoya says, with the unassuming assuredness of someone who’s long been at it. “To bring justice to people, especially women.”
