Without the knowledge of what it takes to create a business from the bottom up, Alfredo Achar has spent decades using his role as a business leader - head of the Comex Group- to create opportunities and contribute to social development through a number of initiatives that create affordable housing, provide training and support entrepreneurship in the community. What drives him is the knowledge that opportunity creates opportunity, and the success of one can contribute to the success of many. “It’s about helping others get ahead,” he says. “We must all do what we can to address unemployment and poverty.”
