In fact, she’s used the disability to strengthen her sense of resolve and desire to embrace challenge while addressing social taboos and knowledge gaps around disability. “Instead of focusing on what we can’t do, how about focusing on what we can do? Otherwise you miss out on the opportunities or the special gifts that we (persons with disabilities) have.”
