With first-hand experience of the importance of empowering youngsters, and with a strong streak of curiosity, Leong Cheung has tossed out the script and invited wonder into his life. In 2013, Leong founded RunOurCity, a social enterprise that transforms the lives of young people, helping them develop their confidence through running. Working with schools and NGOs to reach minorities, underprivileged children and youth from rehab programmes, the initiative went from 600 to 2300 students within the first two years. “We take it step by step, one goal at time,” says Leong. “That’s how you run a marathon.”
