Born in Conakry in 1993, Mariam Mohamed Keita comes from a very humble
background. After getting married at 14, she continued with her schooling until the
birth of her second child. Then, when she was 21, her husband died and she mustered
the courage to resume her studies and enrol at IPM, earning a diploma of advanced
technician – which allowed her to create her own company from scratch: BGS Recyplast, which collects and processes plastic waste.
