Since founding The Chocolate Bar in 2004, Nouf Al Mutawa and her partner have expanded the business to six more locations, and they hope to take the franchise beyond Kuwait in the future. For setting the standards of a successful business model and giving back to the community, the Arab Woman Awards recognised Nouf and her partner Bibi as “Entrepreneur of the Year” in 2013, but if you ask her what she is most proud of, she returns to the joy of chocolate: “I am proud when people tell me how The Chocolate Bar was part of their childhood or their love life. I feel proud that we make them happy every time they visit.”
