IN SHORT

Mari Rouss Villegas had to travel the world before she finally got a diagnosis for her daughter’s cerebral palsy. A month after the doctors performed surgery, her daughter’s quality of life improved drastically. She went on to create Fundación MGAS to help other families pay for the life-changing surgery. The mission has been far from easy, but Mari Rouss simply cannot stop. “Children should not be denied medical care just because their families don’t have money. This is the role I’ve committed myself to – giving all those mothers and children out there hope.”
