Dr Hanan Al-Mutawa has spent her entire life living and breathing education. Thanks to the educational adventures her parents set up, Hanan grew up with a love of experiential learning, a respect for knowledge, and an unshakable belief that education is fundamental to a democratic society. Through Education Consortium, which she co-founded with her husband, she works diligently to facilitate the meaningful impact required to make a change. “It is about giving back to Kuwait. How relevant you are in the community,” she says, “is judged not by what you say, but by what you do.”
