From her first days on this world, piano has been the soundtrack to Lulwa Al Shamlan’s life. Her mother, a piano teacher, started giving Lulwa lessons when she was just four. “I’m glad I started so early,” says Lulwa. “It takes a lot of hours of practice, and you also have to grow into it and learn how to balance everything: practice and friends and academics.” What started as casual lessons soon developed into something more.
