“Hong Kong is full of complexities, and as product of Hong Kong, I am full of these complexities too,” says Sara Jane Ho, etiquette teacher and entrepreneur. She is Founder and Principal of the Institute Sarita finishing school, through which she helps Chinese women learn to navigate cross-cultural intricacies. But she also speaks out for those less privileged, raising awareness about autism and, of course, women’s issues, including the widespread problem of domestic violence in China. “Women need to be respected and empowered,” she says. “There’s too much gender inequality in China right now.”
